The short answer
Direct flights from Mumbai to Srinagar take about three hours, so a five or six-night package covers Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg without rushing. Arrive by early afternoon to use the first day. We plan the ground arrangements in Srinagar, and add your Mumbai flights on request at the live fare.

Most Mumbai travellers fly direct. Morning departures land in time for an afternoon on Dal Lake; evening departures cost you the first day. If direct fares jump in peak weeks, a connection through Delhi is often cheaper and adds a few hours.
The train makes sense only if you are combining Kashmir with Vaishno Devi at Katra.
| Option | Route | Door to Srinagar |
|---|---|---|
| Flight | Mumbai (BOM) to Srinagar (SXR), direct | About 3 h in the air |
| Flight via Delhi | Mumbai to Delhi to Srinagar | 5 to 7 h with the connection |
| Train | Mumbai to Katra (Swaraj Express from Bandra Terminus), then Vande Bharat to Srinagar | About 1.5 to 2 days |
We book flights on request and quote the live fare alongside the package, so you see the full cost before paying anything. We do not publish a flight-inclusive price because fares change every day.
Mumbai’s holiday calendar pushes demand into three windows: the May school holidays, the Diwali break, and Christmas to New Year. All three are peak pricing in Kashmir, and flights from Mumbai fill early. Book eight weeks ahead for May and New Year.
If your dates are flexible, late September and October give you Kashmir at its clearest, with lower hotel rates and easier flights. For snow, which most Mumbai families ask us for first, go between mid-December and February.

Hotels and a houseboat night in the category you choose, breakfast and dinner, a private cab for all transfers and sightseeing, airport pickup and drop, a shikara ride and one trip coordinator on WhatsApp. Flights, Gondola tickets and local union taxis are quoted separately.
