Falcon Trails is a Srinagar-based travel company for Kashmir, Ladakh and Jammu. It was founded by Shahid Parvez Khan, who has worked in Kashmir tourism since 2010: first as a guide for international travellers, then selling and running Kashmir holidays for a destination management company.
Every route is sequenced by season and travel time rather than by how many sights fit into a day. Permits and fees are arranged before you arrive, and you get a written itinerary and an itemised quote before you pay anything.
There is no chain of commissions between you and the people actually serving you. When plans change on the road, the person who replies is part of our own team, not a call centre.
What we are not is a marketplace. We start from Kashmir: Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg, the offbeat valleys and the Jammu side, and Ladakh by the Srinagar road. Kerala, the North East, the Golden Triangle and trips abroad we plan one at a time, with the same care.
How we work
Four rules we do not bend.
We answer our own phone
No call centre, no ticketing queue. The planner who writes your itinerary is the one who answers at 11pm when a pass closes.
Season and road first
We plan around the season and the road, not a checklist. If your dates are wrong for what you want (Gurez in April, Zojila in December) we say so.
No middlemen in the chain
We deal directly with drivers, houseboat owners and hotels, and we only sell stays we know. No chain of commissions between you and the people serving you.
The price is the price
An itemised quote showing what each night and each vehicle costs, and exclusions listed plainly. A written itinerary and invoice before you pay anything.
