The short answer
Plan the trip around the syllabus, then around the season.
An educational tour works when every day ties back to what students are studying: glaciers and mountain landforms at Sonamarg, horticulture at the Tulip Garden and the Pampore saffron fields, history at Martand and the Mughal gardens, crafts in the workshops of Srinagar’s old city. April to June and September to October suit most institutions. We plan the route, transport, rooms and supervision arrangements with your faculty, and you approve every day in writing before anyone travels.

Colleges and schools need different trips
- College and university study tours: department-led, often with an industrial or institutional visit, and more freedom in the evenings.
- School trips: shorter days, tighter supervision, parent communication and no high-altitude legs.
Safety and supervision
- Every student carries original photo ID; hotels, checkpoints and the gondola ask for it.
- Signed consent and medical forms for every student, held by the faculty in charge.
- Separate rooms or floors for boys and girls, with faculty rooms alongside.
- Water activities such as rafting only with the institution’s written consent, and with life jackets.
- One coordinator from our team with the group, reachable round the clock.
- A straight answer on the security situation before you commit. See is Kashmir safe to travel now.
How a trip is planned
Step 1
The brief
Number of students and faculty, the department or class, subjects to cover, dates and budget per student.
Step 2
Route and quote
A day-by-day plan with the learning point of each day, and an itemised quote per student.
Step 3
Approvals
You get the documents your principal or head of department needs. Visits to universities, farms or workshops are requested in advance and depend on their approval.
Step 4
Travel
Train or flight bookings for the group if you want them; the Vande Bharat from Jammu or Katra suits large groups on a budget.
Step 5
On the trip
Our coordinator, the faculty and a shared WhatsApp group with daily timings.

Questions
What people ask us.
What is the best time for an educational tour to Kashmir?
April to June and September to October: mild weather, every road open and most sites in season. Late October adds the saffron harvest at Pampore.
Is Kashmir safe for a student group?
The main tourist areas are open and busy. We give the institution a straight briefing on the current situation before the trip and plan routes and timings with that in mind.
Can students visit a university or a factory?
We request institutional and industrial visits in advance; whether they happen depends on the host’s approval and dates.
Do you book the train for the group?
No. Indian Railways lets only authorised agents sell tickets as a business, so the institution books them. We tell you which trains fit, when booking opens and plan the station pickups. The Vande Bharat into the valley from Jammu or Katra is a good option for large groups.
