The short answer
Two nights in Katra is enough for most families.
Day one: pickup in Jammu, the drive of about 1.5 hours to Katra, and the RFID card. Day two: the climb from Banganga, darshan and Bhairon, and back to Katra. Day three: drop in Jammu, or the Vande Bharat train to Srinagar to continue into Kashmir. Helicopter, pony, palki and battery car tickets are paid separately at the Shrine Board or posted rates; we plan the day around them.

What a package covers, and what it cannot
- Covered: hotel in Katra, private cab Jammu–Katra–Jammu, a guide for the yatra, help registering for the RFID card.
- Paid separately: helicopter, pony, palki, pithu and battery car tickets, at the Shrine Board fare or the posted rate.
- Helicopter seats are sold by the Shrine Board online in each yatri’s name and are not always available. We plan your days so the trip still works if no slot is free.
Navratri and summer
Navratri and the summer school holidays are the busiest weeks, with the longest queues and the hardest-to-get rooms and helicopter seats. Book Katra rooms early for those dates, and keep the climb day free of anything else.
Compare your starting options
Catalogue starting prices for land arrangements on twin-sharing, excluding flights. The two-adult figure is twice the per-person baseline, not a confirmed quote. Dates, room category and availability can change the total. Ask for named hotels, taxes, child charges and local sightseeing extras in writing.

Do packages include the helicopter?
The ticket is bought from the Shrine Board in each yatri’s name, at the Board’s fare. We help you book it and build the day around your slot. See the helicopter guide.
Can you arrange a palki for an elderly parent?
Yes. Palkis and ponies are hired at Katra or Banganga at the fixed rate on the signboards, from operators with an ID token. Our guide handles it on the day.
Can we start from Delhi?
Yes, by Vande Bharat train to Katra (about 8 hours) or by flight to Jammu. See Katra railway station.
