Jammu to Katra
Pickup at Jammu airport or railway station and a drive of about 1.5 hours to Katra. We confirm your helicopter slot and your hotel near the helipad road.

Helicopter yatra, then Jammu
RFID cards in the morning, then the helicopter from Katra to Sanjichhat. The last stretch to the Bhawan is on foot or by pony. Darshan, the ropeway to Bhairon if time allows (it runs 9 am to 5 pm), the helicopter back, and the drive to Jammu.

Who this Vaishno Devi by Helicopter itinerary is NOT for
- •Anyone without a confirmed helicopter slot: Seats sell out at busy times and flights stop in bad weather. Without a slot, the climb is by palki or pony, or the trip needs a second night. We tell you before you book.
- •Anyone who cannot walk at all: The helicopter lands at Sanjichhat, not at the Bhawan. The last stretch is on foot or by pony.

Is the helicopter fare included?
No. The Shrine Board sells the tickets online in each yatri’s name at its own fare. See the helicopter guide for the latest reported fare.
What if the helicopter does not fly?
We switch to a palki or pony for the climb, or add a night in Katra if you would rather wait.
