Fly with one connection, plan seven nights, and come in winter for snow.
From Kochi, Trivandrum or Calicut, flights to Srinagar connect through Delhi, Bengaluru or Mumbai, usually seven to ten hours in total. Plan about seven nights so the travel days do not dominate. If snow is the point, go between December and February; in April and May there is still snow at Sonamarg and the top of the Gulmarg Gondola.

Planning tips for Kerala travellers
- April and May school holidays are peak season in Kashmir too. Book early.
- Winter trips need real winter clothing; snow gear can be hired at Gulmarg and Sonamarg.
- Leave a buffer day before your flight home in winter, in case snow delays flights.
