Kashmir is one of the longest domestic flights from Bengaluru, and that should shape the trip. Here is how long to go for and how to make the travel days count.

The short answer
Direct flights from Bengaluru to Srinagar take about four hours; connections through Delhi take six to eight. With that much travel, a six or seven-night trip is the sensible minimum. It is also long enough to add something most visitors miss, such as two nights in Gurez in summer.

The direct flight is the one to aim for. If it is full or expensive for your dates, a morning connection through Delhi still reaches Srinagar the same day.

The contrast with Bengaluru’s weather is the draw. For snow, go December to February. For green meadows and pleasant days, April to June. For clear skies and autumn colour with fewer crowds, October.
