Honest Travel Advisory

Who this Leh Ladakh Highlights: Nubra, Pangong & Sham Valley itinerary is NOT for

  • •Smart High-Altitude Sequence: Avoid Sleeping at Pangong: Pangong Tso sits at an extreme elevation of 14,270 ft (4,350 m), where night temperatures drop severely and thin air triggers acute mountain sickness (AMS) in short-duration visitors. This 4-night itinerary allows you to explore Pangong’s full splendor during the daytime and return over Chang La to sleep comfortably at Leh (11,500 ft), ensuring optimal health and restful sleep.
  • •Acclimatisation & Winter Conditions: Day 1 is strictly set aside for physical acclimatisation. Drink 3–4 litres of water daily, avoid strenuous walking or alcohol on your first day, and carry warm layers even in summer, as pass temperatures at Khardung La and Chang La stay near freezing year-round.
  • •Quoted Benchmark Pricing: 3 Pax Group: ₹15,000 per person (Triple room in Deluxe hotels with private Xylo). 2 Pax Group: ₹21,500 to ₹22,500 per person (₹43,000 to ₹45,000 total in private Innova Crysta / Xylo).

If any of these apply to your party, speak to us and we will adapt the route.

Before you book

Questions on this itinerary.

Is 4 nights enough to see Ladakh?+

Yes! While longer 7 to 10-day road trips cover remote border villages like Turtuk and Hanle, this compact 4N/5D circuit efficiently hits all major world-famous highlights: Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Sangam, Khardung La, Nubra Valley (Hunder dunes), and Pangong Tso.

What permits are required for Indian and foreign nationals?+

Indian nationals require an Inner Line Permit (ILP) and Ladakh Environmental/Wildlife clearance for Nubra and Pangong, which our team arranges entirely on your behalf prior to departure. Foreign nationals require a Protected Area Permit (PAP) issued for minimum groups of two.
