Honest Travel Advisory

Who this Leh Ladakh: Nubra and Pangong itinerary is NOT for

  • •Anyone who wants to skip the rest days: Flying straight into Leh at 3,500 m is the most common way to get altitude sickness. The two slow days before the passes are not negotiable.
  • •Anyone with a heart or lung condition: Take medical advice before any trip above 3,500 m, then talk to us.

If any of these apply to your party, speak to us and we will adapt the route.

Before you book

Questions on this itinerary.

Is it better to drive in from Srinagar?+

For the altitude, yes: the climb is spread over two days with a night in Kargil. See the Srinagar to Leh road trip.

When is the best time?+

June to September, when the passes and camps are open.
