Corporate offsites and team retreats in Kashmir.

Mornings in a meeting room with a view of the lake or the mountains, afternoons out in Kashmir, and evenings together. Here is how a good offsite here is put together.

Typical length

3 to 4 nights

Base

Srinagar, plus Gulmarg or Pahalgam

Sessions

Hotel meeting rooms

Best seasons

Apr–Jun, Sep–Oct; snow Dec–Mar

The short answer

Three or four nights, split between Srinagar and one mountain resort.

Most offsites work best as three or four nights: Srinagar for arrival, the first sessions and an evening on Dal Lake, then one or two nights in Gulmarg or Pahalgam for the mountain part. Keep working sessions to the mornings and plan the afternoons outdoors; Kashmir is too good to see through a conference-room window. Spring, early summer and autumn suit most teams; December to March suits a snow trip with ski lessons.

Two sample offsite plans

Both start and end in Srinagar, so the group flies in and out of one airport. We reshape them around your agenda.

  1. Plan A, day 1

    Srinagar

Arrive, check in, an afternoon session, then a shikara on Dal Lake at sunset and a group dinner.

  2. Plan A, day 2

    Srinagar

Morning session. Afternoon at Nishat and Shalimar, the Mughal gardens, or a walk through the old city.

  3. Plan A, day 3

    Gulmarg

Drive to Gulmarg, about 1.5 to 2 hours. Gondola in the afternoon; evening at the hotel.

  4. Plan A, day 4

    Back to Srinagar

A closing session in the morning, then the drive down and flights home.

  5. Plan B, days 1–2

    Srinagar

Arrival, sessions and Srinagar as above.

  6. Plan B, days 3–4

    Pahalgam

About 2.5 to 3 hours by road. Riverside sessions, a walk in the pines, and in summer rafting on the Lidder. Aru and Betaab valleys by local union taxi.

  7. Plan B, day 5

    Fly home

    Drive back to Srinagar airport.

Meeting rooms and working sessions

Many of the larger hotels in Srinagar, and some in Gulmarg and Pahalgam, have a meeting room or hall. We confirm the room, the seating layout, the projector and screen, the sound system and the Wi-Fi with the hotel in writing before you pay, and we test the projector on arrival day.

Mobile data can be patchy in the mountains. If the agenda depends on video calls, hold those sessions in Srinagar.

What to book early

  • Hotel rooms for the whole group in one property, especially in Gulmarg, which has fewer large hotels.
  • Gondola tickets on the official site, for the group’s Gulmarg day.
  • Flights for the group: block-booked fares rise as the date nears.
  • Vehicles: tempo travellers or coaches for larger groups, cars for small ones.

Questions

What people ask us.

How many days is ideal for a corporate offsite in Kashmir?+

Three or four nights: enough for arrival, two working mornings and a mountain day, without the trip becoming a holiday.

Which is better for an offsite, Gulmarg or Pahalgam?+

Gulmarg for snow and the gondola, and for winter trips. Pahalgam for riverside calm and summer activities like rafting. See [Gulmarg vs Pahalgam](/kashmir/gulmarg-vs-pahalgam).

Do hotels have meeting rooms with projectors?+

Many do, especially in Srinagar. We confirm the room and equipment in writing and check it the day you arrive.

Can we do an offsite in winter?+

Yes, and it is memorable. Keep a spare day for snow delays and do the sessions in Srinagar or Gulmarg hotels with good heating.
