Conferences and meetings in Srinagar.
Srinagar has hosted international meetings, has direct flights from most Indian metros and gives delegates something to remember outside the hall. Here is how the logistics work.

The short answer
Choose the venue first, then build the delegate logistics around it.
For smaller meetings, the halls in Srinagar’s larger hotels keep everything under one roof. For larger events, the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) on the banks of Dal Lake is the city’s main venue; it hosted the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting in May 2023. We handle what sits around the venue: airport transfers, room blocks, local transport, a programme for free time and one coordinator for the delegates.

Venues in Srinagar
- SKICC (Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre): on the banks of Dal Lake, the city’s main conference venue. Bookings are subject to the venue’s availability and approval; we can approach it on your behalf.
- Hotel halls and meeting rooms: the larger hotels in Srinagar have halls for meetings and banquets, and keep delegates, sessions and meals in one place.
- Outdoor and lakeside settings: lawns and gardens for receptions and dinners in the warmer months.
We confirm seating, equipment, catering and timings with the venue in writing; capacities depend on the layout, so we quote them per event.
Delegate logistics
- Arrivals: meet-and-greet at Srinagar airport and transfers to hotels, about 30 to 45 minutes to Dal Lake.
- Room blocks: held in writing, with a release date agreed with the hotel.
- Local transport: coaches or tempo travellers between hotels and venue, on a timetable.
- Free-time programme: shikara rides, Mughal gardens, the old city, or a Gulmarg day trip.
- Departures: staggered transfers matched to flight times.
When to hold it
April to June and September to October are the easiest months: mild weather and every road open. May and June are peak tourist season, so rooms cost more and fill early. Winter events work, but snow can delay flights; keep a buffer day for delegates flying out. See our month-by-month guide.
